Yesterday, I posted this picture on the BPTV Instagram site. I loved the comment from one our dancer’s parents about “getting teared up” when the end of our show occurred. I can say truly that I was so happy for our dancers and our event that I was really emotional and proud of what we had accomplished. Right now, there is a group of really talented artists out there that are struggling, and I have an inner anger about this situation entirely. This anger is about the how these large companies took the position of making their most valuable asset (the artists) and basically made them expendable and forced a large portion of them on government assistance. We took a different route, our route really embodies the true American Spirit of grit, hard work, perseverance, and dedication to a common goal. Our goal was to make Ballet Project OC’s event happen, build Ballet Project TV, and be a new beacon of hope for a world of artists that there basically left / stranded by the companies that basically provided the dancers with their entire livelihood. You bet I am angry! That anger is now turned to fire, and that fire burns to help an entire Industry. Our passion for helping others and that is what we are all about!Jon Helman – BPTV
