Let’s have a conversation. Let’s talk about creating “Opportunity Zones” in Ballet.

What is the current opportunity in Ballet and what does it look like today? Under today circumstances the established Ballet Companies across the country are contracting (even before the pandemic) meaning less jobs, fewer opportunities, and even reducing headcount as their funds, operating capital and giving resources are all shrinking. Hearing first hand from the largest companies in the country about “budget cuts”, head count cuts, lack of resources, and now little to no revenue generating activities in the form of in theatre performances. Seems very bleak at the moment.

Ballet Project TV was created to alter the current environment and change the direction from the current situation to one of Limitless Opportunity. Our ultimate goal is to create the largest Ballet Company and Ballet Broadcast Network in the country, but we are going to do this as an “entertainment company” with all the protections of content creators, licensing opportunities, and real business profitability. The days of the non-profit Ballet Company “begging” for money on a daily basis only lends to the dysfunction, look at 99% of the Ballet Companies today. I see on Social Media every day someone asking for donations for their dancer funds and probably getting very little response. At least 10 companies in the last 24 hours. Why would anyone continue down a road of failure, expecting a different result. There is no better time to present a new idea / concept of concept than now.

Here is my case in point: Mr. Balanchine and Mr. Kirstein – Mr. Kirstein brought the talents of Mr. Balanchine to New York City to create on of the largest companies in the world. Mr. Kirstein was the business side of the company, Mr. Balanchine was the creative side, creator of content, ballets, and talent. The two “together” created the foundation of the decades of success. The vision for BPTV is very similar, but with one difference. Together with a solid business foundation and the creative talents of the thousands of Artist, we can create / reshape an entire industry and take it to whole new level. How did the NBA get started? How did Major League Baseball evolve? Lastly how did the entertainment industry become the financial giants they are today?
It is pretty simple, They don’t give away there talents for free! Isn’t it time to change direction on that concept. (look at You Tube each and every day and how many artists are just giving away their hard work for no pay, the only company making money is Google and a selected few) Too Many, far to many to count, right?

Ballet Project TV is a new business concept to create revenues and fund the foundation for a new national ballet organization where more than 25 to 50 new companies can be created across the county under a geographical franchise model. Here is an Example “Ballet OC” is what we are creating now. This can easily become franchise models in as many as 50 plus markets very quickly. Funding comes from profitable business by creating content, ballet, movies, shows, health & fitness as well as life style content and much more…. The question is “Do you have the courage to try something new?”

It is time to consider at change, join a new vision, our vision for a new promising future in the industry we all love so dearly. The existing company classicism can stay the same, maybe we can help them too. We only want success and restoration for them, but in parallel a new vision can emerge with new opportunity zones for thousands of new positions, jobs and support teams.
