This nutcracker came about because we wanted to do something memorable to engage our children in an uplifting project during these very challenging times.
Each child was individually filmed by their parents using a cell phone. The children never saw each other during this process. They learned the choreography and rehearsed on zoom, and they were filmed alone in front of a green screen with Merle, Cheri and Bridget directing them on zoom
These kids have danced alone in their homes since the studio closed for in person classes in March.

Then came the fun, how to create the effect of everybody being on stage together. After many many weeks of editing we have a Nutcracker.

This was indeed a labor of love.
